Role Description
The Freelance Photographer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Algiers. The photographer will be responsible for planning, shooting, and delivering high-quality images for a variety of projects, including events, portraits, products, and promotional campaigns. Daily tasks include collaborating with internal teams to understand project requirements, scouting locations, setting up lighting and equipment, and directing subjects as needed. The role also involves selecting and editing images, maintaining an organized archive, and ensuring consistent alignment with our visual standards and brand guidelines. The photographer is expected to manage timelines efficiently, coordinate with other creative professionals, and adapt to different shooting environments while maintaining professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Strong technical photography skills, including proficiency with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and studio/on-location setups
- Experience with photo editing and post-production using tools such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent software
- Ability to plan and execute shoots, including concept development, location scouting, and shot-list preparation
- Solid understanding of composition, color, and visual storytelling to produce images aligned with brand and project goals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a professional approach to working with clients, subjects, and internal teams
- Portfolio demonstrating diverse photography work (e.g., events, portraits, products, editorial) and consistent image quality
- Prior experience in a similar photography role; relevant training or education in photography, visual arts, or media is an advantage
- Ability to work on-site in Algiers on a full-time basis and flexibility to cover shoots during evenings or weekends if required
