Role Description
The English, Maths, and Science Pearson iPrimary Teachers will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons to primary learners, ensuring that teaching meets Pearson iPrimary standards and the school's academic expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and preparing lessons, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining clear records of achievement. The role involves collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, participating in school meetings, and contributing to extracurricular and enrichment activities that support student growth. Teachers will create inclusive classroom environments that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and language development across subjects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Algiers.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to support language development and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
- Candidates should possess strong Science Education competencies, with the ability to teach primary-level science in line with Pearson iPrimary standards.
- Candidates should possess subject knowledge in Physics and general science concepts appropriate for primary learners.
- Candidates should possess solid Mathematics teaching skills, including numeracy development and problem-solving for primary students.
- Candidates should be a Qualified Teacher with recognized teaching credentials and experience in lesson planning and classroom management.
- Relevant experience teaching English, Maths, and Science within British or international curricula is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to create inclusive, student-centered classrooms that support varied learning styles and promote positive behavior.
- Experience working in multicultural school environments and willingness to collaborate with international and local staff.
- A bachelor's degree in Education or in a relevant subject area (e.g., English, Mathematics, Science) is preferred.
