AGR are working closely with our international client to recruit a Work Order Supervisor to join its team on a 28/28 rotation, for a long-term period.
About the role:
The WO Supervisor is the on-site representative for the Company. They are responsible for ensuring the work is completed in accordance with Procedures, the Work Over Program, government regulations, HSE policy and procedures. The WO Supervisor is the Company on-site representative. Their attitude, appearance and manner reflect their opinion of the Company and shape the opinions of others in this regard.
Key duties and responsibilities:
The WO Supervisor is the official company representative on the rig, ensuring the companies interest is best served. The direct point of contact from the company with the on-site service providers.
Ensures that all work is done efficiently, safely, and in accordance with approved Drilling and completion Manual, established company practices and procedures, applicable laws and government rules and regulations.
Develops and issues verbal and written instructions to the contractor Toolpusher and the service company representatives for desired changes in operations. Monitors the operations to ensure the required changes are performed.
Ensure the operations are conducted in the best interest of the company. Discusses future operations plans with the Drilling Superintendent and the Completion Engineer in an effort to optimize and eliminate problems.
Communicate effectively with the Drilling Superintendent, Drilling Engineer, contractor and all service companies to ensure that all technical specifications of the Work Over Program.
Prepares a service contractor evaluation form at the end of each well.
Issues instructions in emergency situations.Conducts emergency drills, BOP drills, etc. as often as deemed necessary.
Personally inspects all tools and wellhead equipment for size and pressure rating on arrival at the rig site. Assures that the proper tools and back-ups, if required, are available on location and ready for use. Ensures that every piece of equipment that enters the hole is measured and that the drill string length is accurately known.
Inspects the equipment frequently to assure that it is being maintained in accordance with terms and conditions of the contract.Discusses with the contractor Toolpusher, actions required to correct problems noted and follows up to see that corrective action is taken.
Recommends ways to reduce cost and improve safety.Cost analysis and / or breakeven analysis should be prepared whenever applicable.
Participates with the Completion Engineer and Drilling Superintendent in revising / editing the completion program whenever necessary.
Ensures that the operations are properly documented on the Tour Report and the Daily Operational Report. Prepares work instructions, transfer documents, receiving documents, pressure tests spreadsheet / graphs, cementing plug reports, tallies, BHAs, etc., to ensure well records are accurate.
Responsible for the entire wellsite completion operations.Ultimate authority for all personnel on the rig site.
Participates in risk assessments and peer reviews to ensure appropriate project planning. Ensures that risks are understood and managed adequately. Ensures that all personnel are working in a safe and professional manner and according to laws, rules, regulations, and standards. Actively participates in Safety meetings. Recognizes and rewards good behaviour and performance. Documents and investigates all accidents, incidents, serious near misses and equipment failures that occur on wellsite.
Provide technical troubleshooting on the work over rig.
Ensure that wells are worked-over in a manner that meets the objectives of the Reservoir, Production, Geological departments and senior management.
Coordinate with the Drilling Superintendent and the Drilling Material Coordinator the timely arrival of drilling equipment and services on well site.
Monitor expenditures on a daily basis with the goal of working over the most cost effective wells possible without jeopardizing safety or quality. Maintain daily cost control records.
Encourage an atmosphere of teamwork among the rig staff.
Evaluate resources needed to provide and to perform the most efficient operations and request the resources through the Superintendent.
Liaise with the companies Civil Works personnel to ensure that well platforms are available in a timely manner.
Raise requisitions and work-orders.
To follow up the move and to prepare the reception of the rig.
Participate in rig inspections and perform rig acceptance as per the companies acceptance criteria.
To conduct daily morning meetings preceding some operations (contractor, service companies)
Participate effectively in training/mentoring of local completion engineers to help them get ready for supervision tasks in the future.
Perform weekly audit checks on all contractor certification relating to well control, maintenance and safety

Work Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience, which include working as operator/contractor WO supervisor, with the last 5 years as Day WO Supervisor for operator. Experience in completion engineering and as toolpusher is an advantage.
Ability to supervise both drilling and completion operations.
Proficiency in Landmark software “OPEN WELLS”.
Experience in drilling operations is preferred.
Ability to work in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment, particularly desert.
Technical skills/Qualifications:
Proficiency in Landmark software “OPEN WELLS”.
Highly proficient in English, written and spoken. Knowledge of French and Arabic is an advantage
Valid IWCF well control level 4 (Supervisory Level) or equivalent required
