Job Scope
The Tax Supervisor is responsible for supporting the company by ensuring the highest standards of
compliance with tax laws and regulations while acting as a business partner to enhance tax efficiency and support commercial performance. This role contributes to continuous improvement of tax management processes and systems,ensures alignment with corporate tax governance requirements, and supports the
business through proactive tax advisory and risk mitigation activities.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting,
Financial Management, Finance, or equivalent.
Experience:
4 to 7 years of experience in BIG4,
multinational FMCG companies, pharmaceutical companies, or a similar dynamic
operating environment.
Goodunderstanding of the pharmaceutical industry and business environment
Proficiency in both written and spoken Arabic and English
Knowledge of Sales Tax and countries’ financial regulations
Knowledge of Labor Laws and Customs Laws
Knowledge of Income Tax and Investment Laws
Experience in tax compliance, tax audits, and transfer pricing activities is
considered a strong advantage
Professional Knowledge
Strongknowledge of Algerian tax regulations and corporate tax governance requirements
Understanding of tax compliance processes including VAT, IBS, IRG, TAP, and G50 declarations
Knowledge of transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements
Familiarity with investment laws and AAPI/ANDI project documentation requirements
Ability to interpret changes in tax legislation and apply them effectively within the business
Good understanding of corporate finance and tax planning principles

Dutiesand Responsibilities
Act Commercially and is Consumer Centric, i.e. demonstrates the deep understanding of business needs and requests of employees, support them with a clear tax advice according to Tax Strategy.
Drive and owns results, delivers exceptional results through strong and thorough cooperation within the finance team.
Learn quickly and is Agile, adjusts quickly to a changing Pharmaceutical industry in terms of constant changes of respective legislation, can apply the changes in practice.
Collaborate and Influence, which means rigorous collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver business results / Effective engagement with the tax authorities.
Drive and owns results, delivers exceptional results through strong and thorough cooperation within the finance team.
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations in Algeria and the compliance of the group corporate tax governance (e.g. Process maps, tax guidelines, Transfer Pricing strategy, tax committees, exceptions committees).
Tax Compliance: Preparing, filing, and paying monthly/annual taxes (G50, IBS/IRG,VAT, TAP) accurately and on time.
Regulatory Monitoring: Tracking changes in Algerian tax legislation, such as those from the Finance Act, to ensure compliance.
Developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize efficiency while complying with Group and local regulations.
Lead the preparation, review, and submission of AAPI/ANDI investment files for new projects.
Accurate and timely delivery of corporate tax compliance to comply with all applicable local requirements & deadlines.
Perform role of local compliance process owner for corporate tax.
Manage preparation of Corporate Tax return, Transfer pricing report.
Review of contracts as per company review policy.
Take active participation in appropriate documentation of required primary documents, reports for intercompany contracts.
Manage tax audits, tax requests, ensuring timely resolution of disputes and escalation of risks and issues to the Regional tax team.
Assessment, support with implementation and delivery of local businessinitiatives.
Provide daily support to business on identification and mitigation of tax risks in day-to-day activity.
