Role Overview
Hiring: Planning Engineer
Location: Algeria
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer to support the successful delivery of a major structural steel and sandwich panel project in Algeria.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of planning experience in construction projects.
- Proven experience in structural steel fabrication, erection, and cladding works.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of project controls, construction sequencing, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules, including baseline, detailed, weekly, and look-ahead programmes.
- Monitor engineering, procurement, fabrication, delivery, and installation activities.
- Track project progress, productivity, critical milestones, and project performance.
- Prepare progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Identify delays, constraints, and risks, and recommend corrective and recovery actions.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabrication teams, and site teams to ensure schedule compliance.
- Support Extension of Time (EOT) and delay-related submissions when required.
