Role Description
The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Algiers, responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations and ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently. This role includes planning and scheduling production, assigning tasks to teams, monitoring workflow, and managing resources such as materials, equipment, and staffing. The Production Manager will track performance indicators, identify bottlenecks or quality issues, and implement process improvements in coordination with other departments. Daily responsibilities also involve enforcing safety and quality standards, managing shift supervision, resolving operational issues, and preparing regular reports for leadership. The role requires close collaboration with procurement, maintenance, and logistics to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in production or manufacturing management, ideally in an industrial or similar environment.
- Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to meet deadlines and performance targets.
- Knowledge of quality control, safety regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S, or similar).
- Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, manage conflicts, and support a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Analytical skills to interpret production data, monitor KPIs, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency with production management software or ERP systems and basic office applications.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in Algiers or similar industrial environments and fluency in relevant local languages is an advantage.
